KGF Box Office Collection: Yash and Srinidhi Shetty's Film Grosses Rs 80 Crore Worldwide
At this speed, KGF will surpass the Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office in the next few days.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF Chapter I is currently ruling the box office and how! The film, which stars Yash and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead, released on December 21 and since then has been minting big money at the ticket windows. While the Hindi version of KGF has so far raked in Rs 12.10 crore, at the worldwide box office the big budget Kannada film has grossed Rs 80 crore which is phenomenal. South industry trade expert Ramesh Bala took to microblogging site Twitter and revealed the updated figures for the Yash starrer. He tweeted, 'In 4 days, #KGF has grossed nearly ₹ 80 Crs at the WW Box Office. Since Monday, there is an upswing in collections in the Telugu States, TN and Kerala, compared to the weekend...'
Despite releasing alongside Shah Rukh Khan's Zero and few other films down South, KGF has performed brilliantly in all languages and has turned out to be a crowd puller at the cinema halls across India. Produced by Vijay Kirgandur, KGF is the first installment in the two-part series. Interestingly, the makers took almost a year-and-half to research the subject before they finally drafted the script. Apart from Yash and Srinidhi, the big-budget action movie also stars Achyuth Kumar, Malavika Avinash, Anant Nag and Vasishta N Simha in important roles.
