If Ranveer Singh's Simmba is still minting money at the box office then so is the Hindi version of Kannada movie KGF Chapter 1 which released alongside Shah Rukh Khan's much-hyped film Zero on December 21. Yes, the action drama starring Yash and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead has surprisingly performed well not just in Hindi but all languages across India and abroad. In fact, KGF has already gone past the Rs 200 crore mark at the worldwide box office and has become the first Kannada film to do so. The film has also been declared a hit in Hindi but its still raking in money. KGF Box Office Collection: Yash and Srinidhi Shetty Starrer Is a Hit in Hindi, Collects Rs 42 Crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter a while back and revealed the updated figures by tweeting, "#KGF is the 4th highest grossing *dubbed Hindi film* and first #Kannada film to attain superb numbers in Hindi market... [Week 4] Fri 38 lakhs, Sat 55 lakhs, Sun 68 lakhs, Mon 50 lakhs, Tue 39 lakhs, Wed 28 lakhs, Thu 25 lakhs. Total: ₹ 43.42 cr. India biz. Note: HINDI version."

Adarsh further wrote, "#KGF biz at a glance...Week 1: ₹ 21.45 cr, Week 2: ₹ 11.50 cr, Week 3: ₹ 7.44 cr, Week 4: ₹ 3.03 cr. Total: ₹ 43.42 cr. India biz. HINDI version. HIT." KGF Chapter I Movie Review: Yash Stands Tall in This Needlessly Stretched Violent Saga.

Despite opening to not-so-great reviews at the box office, Yash's performance in KGF was lauded by everyone and that's one big reason why the film has fared so exceptionally well at the ticket windows. Though the Yash starrer may not enter the Rs 50 crore club in Hindi, the figures are still mighty impressive. And that calls for a success bash for sure.
