Recently, it was announced that South actor Suriya's brother Karthi and wife Jyothika are teaming up for a yet-to-be-titled film, which will be helmed by Malayalam filmmaker Jeethu Joseph. Buzz is that this untitled film, which will mark the maiden collaboration of Karthi and Jyothika, will have an intriguing script with a social message. Yes, it was speculated that the movie will be a family based suspense thriller on the lines of the director's Drishyam/ Papanasam. Reports also suggest that the film also stars veteran actor Sathyaraj, who was recently seen in Jersey and has also acted in Shah Rukh Khan's film Chennai Express as Deepika Padukone's father, will be seen as the father of Jyotika and Karthi in the forthcoming film. While earlier the film was in the initial script level and an official announcement was expected after the script was finalised, today the makers dropped the film's poster online with Drama Begins Today written on it. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh too took to the micro-blogging site to share the poster and announce that the film has gone on floors today. Taran Adash wrote, "Karthi, Jyotika and Sathyaraj... Bankrolled by Viacom 18 and 2D Entertainment (which is owned by Karthi's brother Suriya), the film is scheduled to hit the theatres in October 2019. Rensil D’Silva and Manikandan will be associating with the director Jeethu Joseph for the scripting work. Watch this space for further updates.
