Minu Muneer Accuses Jayasurya of ‘Physical and Verbal Abuse’ in FB Post, Actress Also Levels #MeToo Allegations Against Mukesh, Idavela Babu, Maniyanpilla Raju

Justice Hema Committee report is stirring a hornet's nest in Malayalam Cinema, as several masks are being uncovered to reveal some ghastly sights within. Now an actress named Minu Muneer has taken to Facebook to accuse Jayasurya, Maniyanpilla Raju, Mukesh, and Idavela Babu of 'physical and verbal abuse'.

Looks like more celeb names in the Malayalam Film Industry are going to be dragged into the mud after the public disclosure of the Hema Committee Report. Inspired by the disclosure, a few actresses and female junior artists have come out and accused popular actors and technicians of sexual harassment and assault, and indulging in the casting couch. Actors like Mukesh, Siddique, Idavela Babu, Riyaz Khan and directors like Ranjith and Liju Krishna are a few who have been accused of the same. Malayalam actress Minu Muneer has taken to Facebook to accuse Jayasurya and also actors like Maniyanpilla Raju, Mukesh, and Idavela Babu of 'physical and verbal abuse'. She added pictures of her alleged tormentors in her post while claiming that the said series of incidents happened in 2013 during a 'project'.

Her FB Post reads as follows: "I am writing to report a series of incidents of physical and verbal abuse I suffered at the hands of 1,Mukesh 2,Maniyan pilla raju ,3,idavela Babu, 4,Jayasoorya, 5,adv Chandrasekaran, 6,production controller noble and vichu, in theMalayalam film industry. In 2013, I was subjected to physical and verbal abuse by these individuals while working on a project. I tried to cooperate and continue working, but the abuse became unbearable. As a result, I was forced to leave the Malayalam film industry and relocate to Chennai. I had spoken out against the abuse in an article published in Kerala Kaumudi, titled  '... Left Malayalam Industry for Unable to Cooperate with Adjustment.' I am now seeking justice and accountability for the trauma and suffering I endured. I request your assistance in taking action against for their heinous actions. Thank you for your attention to this matter." (sic)

Intriguingly her Facebook cover picture is a collage of her pictures with actors during the shoot, and that also includes hers with those she has levelled accusations against, like Jayasurya and Mukesh. Kerala Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar Says ‘I Am Unable To Comment’ on Alleged Sexual Misconduct in Malayalam Film Industry.
