Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swamy's Thani Oruvan to Have a Sequel, Confirms Director - Watch Video
In a special video that he posted on Twitter for the fans, Mohan at first thanked the viewers for the love and support that the first film has got.
When it came out in 2015, Thani Oruvan received good praise from the critics and was a big hit at the box office. The movie starred Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swamy, with Nayanthara as the female lead, and was directed by Jayam Ravi's brother Mohan Raja. Thani Oruvan was about a thrilling cat and mouse game between an honest cop and a cunning businessman and narrated the malpractices in the medical field. The movie gave Arvind Swamy's career a fresh lease of life and he received unanimous praise as the cool-headed but devious antagonist.
Now three years after its release, director Mohan Raja has announced that he will be making a sequel to the film. In a special video that he posted on Twitter for the fans, Mohan at first thanked the viewers for the love and support that the first film has got. He then revealed that his next film will be Thani Oruvan 2, as Jayam Ravi entered the video and confirmed that he will be the lead of the film once again. We are truly interested in knowing which actor would be playing the villain, since (SPOILER ALERT) Arvind Swamy's character dies at the end of the first film.
