It has been over one year since we have seen Janhvi Kapoor on the big screen. But her popularity has only increased since Dhadak has released, thanks to her social media presence, endorsements and just the crowd she mingles with. Her fans will soon see her in a movie, albeit not on the big screen. She appears as the lead in a segment of the horror anthology film, Ghost Stories, for Netflix. The movie will start streaming on January 1, 2020. Meanwhile, she has films like Dostana 2, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Roohi Afza lined up to keep the meter running. She is already established enough, with just one film, that she can charge a whopping Rs 3.5 crores for a project.

As per reports, Janhvi has been approached to play the female lead in Vijay Deverakonda's Fighter. The title might change. The film will be directed and produced by Puri Jagannaath. Soon after the announcement, Karan Johar joined the club as the co-producer. Which also explains Janhvi's entry in the film. A report by Times of India suggests that the actress will get Rs 3.5 remuneration for Fighter.

Janhvi has talked about being charmed by Vijay Deverakonda on multiple occasion. During her maiden Koffee With Karan appearance, she expressed her desire to work with the man. During the chat show, Vogue BFFs, she crushed really hard on Vijay. This film will be one stone, two birds for the actress.

No official announcement has been made regarding Karan and Janhvi coming on board. And you never know, things derail last moment sometimes in this little place called the Indian film industry.

Karan's Dharma Productions' current focus is the upcoming release, Good Newwz. This will be followed by Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship, in early 2020. Then, of course, Gunjan Saxena film, followed by Sooryavanshi. Brahmastra is slated for the end of 2020, and will be the biggest Dharma film ever. Even being tagged as biggest Hindi film ever.
