Rajinikanth has two interesting movies coming up ahead, before he might take a call to quit movies and be in politics full-time. One is, of course, the most anticipated and the frequently delayed sci-fi thriller, 2.0, that also stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. The movie has finally found a release date on November 29. The other movie is the yet-untitled film that will be directed by the maverick film-maker Karthik Subbaraj. The most interesting fact about the movie is that it will star Vijay Sethupathi in a negative role.
Bobby Simha, Sanath Reddy, Megha Akash and Deepak Paramesh are also part of the star-cast. The latest development in the casting was that Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil was rumoured to be a part of the film. It was speculated that he would be playing Rajinikanth's friend in the movie.
However, as per a report in Silverscreen, a source close to the film told the website, "Fahadh was never approached for a role in the film. I request the media not to speculate about the people cast in the film. Any and all details about the movie will come directly from the production house. We are waiting on dates from cinematographer Thiru, following which we will know when this schedule will end." So that's the end of the rumour, we guess!
Fahadh had earlier made his debut in Tamil cinema with Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara's Velaikkaran, where he played the antagonist. He was also supposed to be a part of Mani Ratnam's upcoming film, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, before he was replaced by Arun Vijay. He also won the National Award for the Best Supporting Actor earlier this for his performance in the Malayalam movie, Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum.
