‘I Got An Offer To Direct Rajinikanth Sir’s Next Film’, Says Prithviraj Sukumaran

Prithviraj Sukumaran made his directorial debut with the Malayalam film, Lucifer. Released in 2019, this film starring Mohanlal in the lead and Prithviraj in an extended cameo, was a blockbuster. It is presently the highest-grossing film Malayalam movie. The film would also be getting a sequel that is titled Empuraan. And looks like his directorial project almost helped him bag another great deal, and it was a film with superstar Rajinikanth. An event was arranged during which Prithviraj Sukumaran interacted with fans. It was during that event the Malayalam actor-director was quoted as saying, “Soon after Lucifer release, I got an offer to direct Rajinikanth sir’s next film. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take it up because of Aadujeevitham. I don’t think I have typed a longer sorry note to anyone in my life,” reports TOI. Aadujeevitham is an upcoming Malayalam movie that is directed by Blessy. Based on the novel of the same name by Benyamin, Prithviraj Sukumaran would be seen playing the lead role. It also features Amala Paul, Vineeth Sreenivasan and Aparna Balamurali in key roles. The film’s music would be composed by AR Rahman, whereas the cinematography is handled by KU Mohanan.
