This beauty has turned 36 today (May 4) and fans of the actress across the country have showered with wishes on social media. These wishes are in the form of messages and pictures. Widely known as Trisha, she is a popular face in Kollywood. Besides Tamil films, Trisha has appeared in Telugu and Hindi films as well. Education

Trisha was born in Chennai and she did her schooling from Sacred Heart Matriculation School in Church Park. She completed her graduation in Bachelor of Business Administration from Ethiraj College for Women in Chennai. Trisha was keen to pursue a career in acting from a young age but she resisted that thought as her priority was academics and she wanted to complete it first. And guess what, she had even aspired to become a criminal psychologist.

Modelling

Kollywood’s most loved actress was just 16 when she was crowned as Miss Madras. She also participated in many other beauty pageants and but the biggest thing is, Trisha was in the finale of Miss India 2001 contest. Trisha won the pageant’s ‘Beautiful Smile’ award. Besides participating in beauty pageants, Trisha was featured in print and television commercials as well.

Music Video

Trisha did not win Miss India 2001 title but she did grab many music directors and filmmakers’ attention. The Tamil actress was featured in playback singer Falguni Pathak’s music video, “Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye”.

Filmy Career

Trisha made her acting debut opposite Suriya in the 2002 released film Mounam Pesiyadhe. But her performance in Lesa Lesa, directed by Priyadarshan, gave her the big break. It was Priyadarshan who approached Trisha for Hindi film, Khatta Meetha. This marked her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar.

Animal Lover
