It is not the first time that the world of entertainment would be seeing a south filmmaker directing a Bollywood actor. Priyadarshan, who has predominantly worked in Mollywood, is one of the popular directors who has worked with many Bollywood actors. It includes Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and many others. It was not that long ago when Sandeep Reddy Vanga directed Shahid Kapoor in Kabir Singh, a remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy.

Looks like the trend of South-Hindi industry coming together has pleased the audience. Here are few more filmmakers who are all set to work with some of the leading stars of Bollwyood. These days names of some of the most-sought after directors and Bollywood superstars coming together for films are doing rounds on the internet. Gowtam Tinnanauri and Shahid Kapoor

On October 14 it was confirmed that director Gowtam Tinnanauri would direct the Hindi version of Jersey with Shahid Kapoor in the lead. The original Telugu version starring actor Nani was also helmed by him.

The remake version of this sports drama would hit the screens on August 28, 2020. After Kabir Singh, the expectations are high from Shahid Kapoor!

Prabhudheva and Salman Khan

Prabhudheva and Salman Khan are coming together for Dabangg 3. This film is all set to be released during the time of Christmas this year. Well, it isn’t the first time that this director-actor duo would be working together. In past they had teamed up for Wanted.

Prabhudheva has also worked with other Bollywood actors such as Akshay Kumar in Rowdy Rathore and Singh is Bling, with Ajay Devgn in Action Jackson and also with Shahid Kapoor in R... Rajkumar.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Ranbir Kapoor

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s first Hindi film, Kabir Singh, was a blockbuster. It was remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy. It was recently confirmed that Sandeep is all set to helm the next Hindi film and it would be produced by Kabir Singh makers.

Speculations have been rife since then that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is considering Ranbir Kapoor to play the lead. However, one of the producers of this project, Bhushan Kumar clarified that the cast is yet to be finalised.

Atlee Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan

Atlee Kumar is a popular filmmaker in the Tamil industry. He has directed three films – Raja Rani, Theri and Mersal, and all the three have been super-hit. He is presently gearing up for the release of his fourth project – Bigil, starring Thalapathy Vijay and Nayanthara in the lead.

Atlee has never worked with a Bollywood actor in his directorial career. However, the buzz is Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan teamed up for Bigil. Yes, it is said that SRK would seen in a cameo role in Bigil. But there has been no confirmation yet!

Pushkar–Gayathri and Aamir Khan-Saif Ali Khan

The husband and wife duo, Pushkar and Gayathri, are known for directing the 2017 film Vikram Vedha. It featured R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead.

The latest buzz is that Pushkar-Gayathri would remake the Hindi version of it with Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan in the lead.

Raghava Lawrence and Akshay Kumar

Raghava Lawrence is all set to direct his first Hindi film – Laxmmi Bomb. It is a remake of the Tamil film, Muni 2: Kanchana.

Laxmmi Bomb stars stars Akshay Kumar in dual roles. The movie is all set to hit the big screens on May 22, 2020.
