Sivaji Ganesan has been awarded some of the prestigious awards for his performances. In 1992, he was conferred with National Film Award – Special Jury Award for Thevar Magan. He was also conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Sivaji Ganesan, who is remembered as the iconic figure of Tamil Cinema, was also made a Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
