Indian cinema, especially the South industry, has suffered two heavy blows on June 10. Earlier on this day, we had reported about the sad demise of reputed playwright, actor, and director Girish Karnad at the age of 81. Now another eminent personality, Mohan Rangachari, or as he was known among the fans of Tamil Cinema, "Crazy" Mohan, has passed away in Chennai. He was 67. Girish Karnad, Veteran Actor, Filmmaker and Playwright Passes Away at 81.

Crazy Mohan has been admitted in the Kauvery hospital in the city after he had suffered from a heart attack. The actor was declared dead by the doctors there at 2 pm on June 10. The entire Tamil Industry will be mourning his loss, as the actor/playwright is quite well-known for penning popular movie scripts and for his performances. The actor is also known for his theatre work, in fact, it was one of his hit plays, 'Crazy Thieves in Palavakkam', that gave him his popular name.

In a career spanning over more than three decades, Crazy Mohan has scripted many hit movies. Some of the popular films that he had penned were Apoorva Sagodharargal, Michael Madana Kama Rajan, Magalir Mattum, Sathi Leelavathi, Avvai Shanmughi, Vasool Raja MBBS  and so on. As you can see, most of the movies he had penned had Kamal Haasan in the lead.

Crazy Mohan has also acted in films like Arunachalam, Pammal K. Sambandam, Vasool Raja MBBS and Kalyana Samayal Saadham. May his soul rest in peace!
