There seems no near end to this deadly pandemic as it continues to affect people around us. The newest victim of the Covid-19 virus becomes veteran South Star Chiranjeevi Konidela who tested positive for the virus today. The actor took to Twitter to share the news with his fans. In his tweet, the actor revealed how he had gotten a test before he kickstarted the shoot for his next project, Acharya and the results came positive. The actor also informed that he is an asymptomatic carrier of the virus and is currently quarantining at home. He requested the people that he had met in the last few days to get a test as a protocol as well.

Fans flooded the comments section with wishes for the star as they prayed for his speedy recovery. "Get well soon Boss. Wishing you a speedy recovery," wrote a fan. Earlier, Chiranjeevi's brother Nagendra Babu had also tested positive for COVID-19 as well. He informed everyone about his health through a tweet which read, "An Infection doesn't always have to be suffering, you can always transform it into an opportunity to help the fellow beings. Talking about Chiranjeevi's film Acharya, the film is written and directed by Koratala Siva. Acharya reportedly revolves around the struggles of a communist ideologue and also stars Kajal Aggarwal in the lead role. Bankrolled by Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan under his Konidela Productions Company, the shoot of the film had come to a halt in March following the coronavirus-induced lockdown.
