While the #MeToo Movement in India spread quicker than wildfire to all the industries included, one of the most unfortunate incidents that happened was with singer Chinmayi Sripada. She was one of the most prominent faces of the #MeToo campaign in India but her termination further proves why women shall never be allowed to speak up. And now, the singer opened up on the entire controversy for one last time. Chinmayi, in a series of tweets, first revealed how there were a total of 95 members in the union who had not paid their fees but she was 'singled out and terminated'. She also mentioned how she tried to believe in the positives and trust the good but was done now.

In case you didn’t watch the video - 95 members of the Dubbing Union haven’t paid subscription fees since 2016. I have been singled out and terminated. I have also paid the Lifetime Membership Fee as of 11 Feb 2016 via Bank Transfer.

Anyway that’s the end of that. I was requested to tweet that out and I have. I am done with everything. For the few people who tweeted out in support I am grateful and I will always remember. I wont forget the kindness that’s come through.

Someday when these predators land at the very doorsteps of those who speak in support of these men, would they understand? I don’t know.

Despite the victim speaking to the TAMBRAS ICC Mr. Narayan will not step down. The Association is unable to get him removed. The ICC member asked me to speak to one person after another. And also tweet repeatedly. Fact remains he will continue as TAMBRAS President no matter what
