This Diwali, we had seen multiple releases across industries vying for the bigger share of the box office success. In Bollywood itself, we had three big releases in Housefull 4, Saand Ki Aankh and Made in China. While the latter two are not performing upto the mark, Housefull 4 is reportedly doing good, but is expected to see a decline in the days ahead. But the two movies actually rocking at the box office is from Kollywood. Housefull 4 Box Office: Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon's Multi-Starrer Comedy Drama Earns Rs 53.22 Crores in 3 Days.

Thalapathy Vijay's Bigil and Karthi's Kaithi are winning over at the box office, with Kaithi already in the profit zone thanks to its controlled budget. Bigil has been Diwali release that has been getting more footfalls than any of its competitors, and has reportedly crossed Rs 150 crore globally.

At the Worldwide Box Office, Bigil has even beaten the likes of Housefull 4, and Kaithi to make its place in the fifth position, as per industry tracker Ramesh Bala. Vijay's Bigil Beats Akshay Kumar's Housefull 4 in Australia On Diwali Weekend.

However, since Bigil is made on a humongous budget of Rs 180 crore, it has yet to recover the costs through theatrical revenue (satellite rights make it profitable, though).

Bigil has Thalapathy Vijay in a double role, playing a father and a son. The movie is about a goon, who used to be a promising football player and is now given another opportunity to make his name in the game by coaching the women's team. Directed by Atlee, Bigil also stars Nayanthara, Kathir, Jackie Shroff, Daniel Balaji, Vivek et al.
