The first season of the Malayalam version of the popular reality show, Bigg Boss, has ended on September 30. The first winner has turned out to be actor and host Sabumon Abdusamad who beat the finalists, Pearle Maaney and Shiyas Kareem. Srinish Aravind and Aristo Suresh had got evicted earlier. Sabumon had been the clear favourite to take the grand prize of a trophy and Rs 1 crore cash prize. Veteran Malayalam megastar Mohanlal has hosted the first season of Bigg Boss Malayalam. The actor had enthralled the audiences and the evicted contestants with songs and jokes, There were also skits and other programmes to entertain the viewers. Kaushal Manda is the Winner of Bigg Boss Telugu 2?

The show had started airing from June 24, 2018, on Asianet. The house was set on Lonavala. Apart from Sabumon, Pearle and Shiyas, the contestants also included Srinish Aravind, Archana Suseelan, Basheer Bashi, Aditi Rai, Hima Shankar, Ranjini Haridas, Diya Sana, Anoop Chandran, Aristo Suresh, Shweta Menon, Deepan Murali, Sreelakshmi Sreekumar, Anjali Ameer, David John and Manoj K Verma.
