Baahubali's Kattappa To Get A Statue At London Wax Museum

Last year, we had hear about how Prabhas, who played the main lead in Amarendra/Mahendra Baahubali, is having a statue being made of him at Madame Tussaud's.

Baahubali series have become so big that every character in the movie has been immortalised in the memories of Indian audience. The second movie, while being also India's biggest hit at the domestic box office, is also one of the best blockbusters we have made recently. And how do we show our appreciation and love for the movie? Last year, we had hear about how Prabhas, who played the main lead in Amarendra/Mahendra Baahubali, is having a statue being made of him at Madame Tussaud's. Now his faithful companion/backstabber Kattappa is also getting immortalised through the same way.

As per a report in BehindWoods, Sathyaraj's character in the movie will also get a wax statue in at the popular museum in London. If the report is true then Sathyaraj would be the first Tamil actor to get this honour. Kattappa was truly one of the best and well-defined characters in the entire franchise, so we dig this distinction that he is getting.

Meanwhile, Sathyaraj, who will be next seen in Venkat Prabhu's Party, was recently in news when he spoke against the vandals of the Periyar statue in Tamil Nadu. He has himself played the popular late leader in a movie earlier. In a video message, Sathyaraj had said, "I condemn the demolition of Lenin's statue in Tripura. The Tamil Nadu government should take action against H Raja for stating the Periyar's statues would meet the same fate. Periyar is not a statue, not a name, not a body made of flesh and blood. He is an ideology, created for the poor, for the women's freedom and for abolishing superstitious belief. He does not just live like a statue, he lives in our hearts. I want to tell you that neither the power nor an army can remove Periyar from our hearts. Tell me the time and date, the followers of Periyar are willing to accept your challenge. H Raja must apologize, the Tamil Nadu government must take legal action against him."
