One of the most successful and long-running shows on Asianet Television has been the comedy chat show, Badai Bungalow, In running for five years, the show has been inspired by Kapil Sharma's popular show 'Comedy Nights With Kapil', with comedian Ramesh Pisharody stepping into Sharma's shoes and actor Mukesh taking Navjot Singh Sidhu's place (though he does a lot more than laughing). Unlike the Kapil Sharma show, Badai Bungalow has been bereft of controversies and was getting stronger with every season.

So it is with much shock that we came to hear about Badai Bungalow going off air soon, despite enjoying a good TRP showing. Ramesh Pisharody himself confirmed the news when he posted on his Facebook timeline about the show going off air. In his post, Pisharody revealed that the show will have only one or two episodes to be telecast before we bid farewell to it (for now). He also thanked all the participants of the show, as well as the channel Asianet for giving him the opportunity to host the show.

Pisharody, however, did not give any reason as to why the popular show is shutting shop even after enjoying good ratings. Is it a decision made to go on a high or it because the cast members' movie careers have made them too busy? The show is known to make stars of its regular cast-members like Pisharody, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Arya Rohit and others, leading to so many opportunities in Malayalam film industry. Pisharody had recently made his directorial debut with the social comedy, Panchavarnathata, that starred Jayaram and Kunchako Boban, that enjoyed a fair amount of success at the box office.

Whatever the reason is, that's another good show ending its run on television, when mediocre soaps are ruling the roost endlessly.
