We finally have the first glimpse of Amitabh Bachchan from his Tamil debut Uyarndha Manidhan. Actor SJ Suryah will be sharing screen space with the legendary actor in the Tamilvaanan directorial. In the pictures that have been going around on social media, Amitabh Bachchan is seen in a simple avatar. He is seen wearing a White Kurta along with a white veshti (lungi). The Thugs of Hindostan actor has reportedly given 40 days for the film shoot and looks like it has finally begun. The film is expected to release in Tamil and Hindi.

The film was announced in August last year when actor Suryah shared a small video of Superstar Rajinikanth unveiling the title poster of the film. “Feeling blessed my hindi debut is with the ever green Indian super star @SrBachchan … thx to God and UYARNDHA MANIDHAN (tamil/ hindi) bilingual …. thx to our super star @rajinikanth blessing us with this welcoming video …. yepdi news chumma adirudulla.” tweeted Suryah. ‘Fast and Furious’ Star Tyrese Gibson Admires Amitabh Bachchan, Hopes to Meet the Megastar One Day.

The literal translation of Uyarndha Manidhan is “tall man”. In an interview earlier, director Tamilvaanan had said, "When I had written the script, I only had two actors in my mind for the leads - SJ Suryah and Amitabh Bachchan. Suryah was convinced and I am really happy that though it took us a while, Amitabhji is also on board."

Well, we are certainly looking forward for the megastar to make his Kollywood debut with a bang. Considering that the film is being shot in Hindi as well, it will also mark the Bollywood debut of SJ Suryah. A release date of the film is yet to be announced.
