Aishwarya Rai Bachchan CONFIRMS Being in Mani Ratnam's Period Drama Next

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is reuniting with Mani Ratnam and the fans are over the moon! There were speculations about her involvement in the project, however, none of them really confirmed or denied the news. Until now. Finally, the actress admitted that she is a part of the big south Indian movie that is named as Ponniyin Selvan. Although, she did not delve many details about the role or the film, she did confirm being a part of it. "What I will commit to is because even though Mani (Ratnam) hasn't formally announced it himself but the word is out. So yes, I will commit to the fact that yes, I am working with him. I won't say I agreed...I will always be more than thrilled, excited, overwhelmed, humbled and just happy to work with my guru, Mani so ya, that is happening," she told in an interview with Anupama Chopra.

Now, in this flick, she is said to play a grey role named Nandini, something that her fans have not seen from her end. Also, she is seen as a lady who aims to attain power and is a bit manipulative. It will be definitely interesting to watch the light-eyed actress be in the zone of a strong vampish character. The film is set in the backdrop of Chola kingdom.
