Times of India - The film's true strength lies in its cast. GV Prakash and Gouri G Kishan shine in their respective roles, delivering convincing performances that resonate well.nWhile Adiyae may share some traits with time travel films of the past, the film's engaging narrative, strong performances, and skillful incorporation of alternate reality elements make it a worthwhile watch.

The Hindu - Considering how the director’s previous film Thittam Irandu managed to create quite a lasting impression beyond all flaws, it’s disappointing to see such writing in a story that doesn’t keep things simple, a screenplay that’s all over the place, and a done-to-dust message. So draining is the experience that an unconvincing resolution becomes the least of your worries in front of a never-ending climax.

JFW - G.V. Prakash does justice to his role and Gouri plays her part to perfection. The chemistry between GV and Gouri worked out as well. RJ Vijay as hero’s friend and Venkat Prabhu as scientist and director Gautham Menon in alternate reality had part to play and their one liners worked out sometimes.

India Today - Adiyae’ is also quite enjoyable because of the chemistry between GV Prakash and Gouri Kishan. There’s also a reference to Gouri’s role in ‘96’ as well. That said, some of the dialogues, especially the love portions, sound cringeworthy. Director Vignesh Karthick’s ‘Adiyae’ is a decent sci-fi film that could have been elevated with more finesse.
