Last month the makers of Aadai had released the film’s teaser in which we saw a different side of Amala Paul, who plays the role of Kamini in the film. The teaser sent shivers down our spine. There was pain, fear... it just left everyone with the question of what happened and how it happened. It did drop a hint on what the story could be about, but the trailer which released today, is nowhere close it. It showed the other side of Kamini, who is unapologetically bold, and her madness will drive you bonkers for sure. The opening of the trailer shows Kamini and her addiction to betting. Then during a party with her pals she asks them, “Are we humans born wearing a dress? So if we remove what we are wearing, the body becomes... the actual birthday dress!” In fact the three A’s in the film’s title has a meaning and it is all linked to her character - arrogant, audacious, artistic. The film’s trailer was released was released by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. He captioned it saying, “So proud to be releasing the trailer of Aadai . Makes me want to watch the film and more than that waiting to see the reaction of the purists. All the best team Aadai #AadaiTrailer”. Shocking! In an interview to News18.com, Amala Paul had stated, “Aadai is not a regular script… the intricacies of my character Kamini are already giving me jitters.” Well, we do agree that it does not look like a regular story. This Tamil-language film also stars Ramya Subramanian, Adiraj and Vivek Prasanna in pivotal roles. Directed by Rathnakumar, the release date of Aadai is yet to be announced.
