Cast
Rajinikanth returns as the man lead, reprising his dual roles of scientist Vaseegaran and his android Chitti. Akshay Kumar is making his Tamil debut, playing the main antagonist. Amy Jackson replaces Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the female lead, and she is also playing an android. The movie also stars Sudhanshu Pandey, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Riyaz Khan and Adil Hussain. Story
2.0 is the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster, Enthiran aka Robot. Set years after the incidents played in the first movie, 2.0 follows a super-villain, played by Akshay Kumar, who controls all the mobile phones in the city and makes them do his bidding. To tackle the monster, Vaseegaram brings back Chitti.

2.0 is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 600 crore, which includes the marketing cost. This makes the film the most expensive movie made in India.

Box Office Collection
As per reports, 2.0 is getting 10,500 screens worldwide. The advance ticket booking for 2.0 has been tremendous especially in the South. The movie has reportedly got a Rs 125 crore earnings just through advance bookings. Trade experts are predicting a Rs 50 crore plus opening in India, which will make it the highest ever opening collections for a Rajinikanth or an Akshay Kumar movie.
