The films are right now in the rat race of box office collections and how the audience loves to cheer for this race. The latest one is Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 who is winning this race at box office high time. The latest update about the movie's collections is that. 2.0 had grossed Rs 430 crore in India itself for all the languages that it has been released. Worldwide, the movie is inching towards the Rs 700 crore mark. Petta Teaser OUT! Rajinikanth is Back With a Bang in this Whistle-Worthy Video!.

Some of the websites reported that 2.0 has already managed to beat Aamir Khan's Danga collections in India. That's not EXACTLY TRUE! The collections for 2.0 that we have been getting from various sites are its gross earnings. The nett collections have not been revealed yet. Dangal had earned Rs 387.38 crore in India, which is why these websites are saying that 2.0 has beaten Aamir Khan's film. But these are the nett collections, and if we consider gross, Aamir Khan's film has earned Rs 511 crore in  India. So 2.0 is yet to beat Dangal's collections in India.

The buzz about 2.0 has been higher than anything and there are multiple factors involved. Firstly, the delay of the film made the fans curious about what's in the store. Secondly, it was the Bollywood star Akshay Kumar's debut in the South film industry. Khiladi Kumar was immersed in doing social dramas all this while and watching him turn into a fierce antagonist in the film was like a breath of fresh air. Another factor that contributed to making the film the much-awaited one was the heavy dose of VFX in the film. Even though the content was just ordinary, it is this visual experience that the audience rooted for majorly. The S.Shankar directorial is still on the minds of the fans who are opting to watch it even now. We got to see how the film manages to beat more records in the upcoming weeks.
