2.0 has surpassed the lifetime gross collection of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in Chennai. By grossing Rs 19.03 crore in 12 days, the sci-fi film has become All-time No. 1 in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.
2.0 is the highest-grossing Tamil film of all-time in the USA with the running total of 5 million. It has surpassed Kabali’s collection of Rs 4.15 million. In fact, it’s currently the highest grossing Tamil film globally which is a massive milestone.
2.0 is also the eight highest grossing Indian film worldwide only behind blockbusters like Dangal, Baahubali 2, Secret Superstar and few others.
At the UAE box office, 2.0 is the third highest grossing South Indian film of all time after Baahubali 2 and Pulimurugan.
In Singapore, Rajinikanth broke his own opening weekend record of Kabali at the box office. His latest venture 2.0 surpassed Kabali’s collection by minting Rs 7.76 crore in its 4-day opening weekend.
2.0, which also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain, is the first 3D movie which has been shot entirely in India. Reportedly, it’s been made on a budget of Rs 543 crore, making it the most expensive Indian film made till date.
