We cannot get enough of Sonali Bendre’s Instagram posts. The actress is inspiring and how! Even as she battles a high grade cancer this Bollywood beauty has not lost her charm or sense of humour. We were heartbroken when Sonali broke news of cancer on Instagram. But ever since she has proved to be an inspiration for many and Sonali Bendre’a Instagram posts make our day. So when we spotted this picture on Sonali’s best friend Sussanne Khan’s social media handle we couldn’t help but smile. Just recently the Sarfarosh actress gave us a sneak peek at her thoughts and her new look. On Priyanka Chopra’s suggestion Sonali had gotten herself a new cool wig. While the actress talked about vanity and happiness we couldn’t help but nod in agreement.

Sonali was spotted chilling with Sussanne and friend Gayatri Joshi at Central Park, NYC where the actress is undergoing treatment at the moment. We had expected Sonali to sport her new wig, but she managed to surprise us yet again and chose to flaunt her bald look instead. And boy we must say that Sonali looks gorgeous even when she’s not in a mood to smile. Looks like the gals were trying to get a candid shot. The ladies are certainly having a gala time amidst Sonali’s chemo sessions it seems. Here take a look...

"Vanity is my favourite sin." - Al Pacino Well, it might not be my all-time favourite sin (that would be gluttony ), but who doesn't like looking good? The way we look has a profound psychological impact on us... A little vanity here and there does no one any harm. It's important to do what makes you happy, even if it's something as simple as wearing a wig, bright red lipstick, high heels.... All that white noise doesn't make a difference in the larger picture. No one can tell you what's right or wrong for you. When I was testing out the wigs, I had a brief moment of self-doubt... "Am I vain for wanting to look good?" As part of the entertainment industry, you're always expected to look good... Maybe that has been ingrained in me? But then I gave it a thought and I realized I like looking good for me. If I'm in the mood to wear a scarf, I will. If I want to walk around bald and free, I will. Only you know what would make you feel good, and what works best for you. So take every opportunity you can to #SwitchOnTheSunshine. #OneDayAtATime Thank you @priyankachopra for connecting me with the amazing @bokheehair, who created my new look.

Like Irrfan Khan, Sonali Bendre too chose to announce news of her ailment on social media. Four months before Sonali, Irrfan Khan took to Twitter to share news of him being diagnosed with Nueroendocrine tumor. The actor left everyone shocked with his confession especially because a just a few days before that an unwell Irrfan had taken leave from the sets of his Vishal Bhardwaj movie.  Irrfan was to reunite with his Piku co-star Deepika Padukone for Vishal’s film. The filmmaker decided to postpone the movie and let Khan recuperate. The actor has had two releases since, Blackmail and Karwaan.

Sonali too had just begun her kids TV reality show when she was diagnosed with cancer. Huma Qureshi, who was unaware of Sonali’s health condition, was roped in to co-judge the show with Vivek Oberoi. In fact, even as the actress was updating fans about her well being through her Instagram posts news of Sonali Bendre's death hoax went viral online. Politicians Ram Kadam, who had also shared this news online confessed to his blunder and apologised too.

We wish both Sonali and Irrfan a speedy recovery.
