Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan are the three pillars of Hindi cinema industry. Yes, we have got the Kumar, Devgn and Kapoors but this trio remains the original superstars of Bollywood. So much so that, a lot is talked and written about actresses working with all three of them. In fact, very few A-listed actresses, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji and Anushka Sharma have worked with the three Khans. But this question has become quite repetitive. It’s time to turn topics around. How about we discuss top actors who have worked with two of Bollywood’s reigning queens as well as global icons – Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone!

The Bajirao Mastani co-stars Priyanka and Deepika are Hindi cinema’s best exports. They have done over 80 movies between them – earning both commercial and critical successes. PeeCee and Deepu (as they are fondly called in the media) have constantly featured as the highest-paid actors list as well as bagged numerous awards. These acting powerhouses have proved their mettle and more importantly redefined the roles of Bollywood heroines. Hindi film actresses are no more typecast as an arm candy, but portray substantial characters. They also made an impact in West with Deepika making her Hollywood debut in Vin Diesel-starrer XXX: The Return of Xander Cage while Priyanka debuted as the main antagonist of Dwayne Johnson's film, Baywatch. Today, we look at the male Bollywood actors who have been fortunate to work with our lovelies – Priyanka and Deepika.

1. Shah Rukh Khan

Bollywood’s King of Romance, Shah Rukh Khan was Deepika’s first hero in Bollywood with 2007 film, Om Shanti Om. The superhit jodi then worked in Chennai Express (2013) and Happy New Year (2014). As for Priyanka Chopra, she has worked with King Khan in one of the biggest franchise, Don in 2006 and its sequel, Don 2 in 2011. All these films have been the biggest blockbusters with movie buffs loving the charming actor’s chemistry with Deepika and Priyanka. The fans will next see Deepika doing a special appearance in SRK starrer Anand L Rai’s Untitled 2018 film. Meanwhile, there is yet no confirmation on the reunion of Shah Rukh and Priyanka’s jodi on the silver screen. Guess, we’ll have to wait and watch for Don and his Jungli Billi to reunite.

2. Akshay Kumar

The early 2000s boasted of a sizzling pair, Akshay and Priyanka who excelled in movies like Andaaz (2003), Aitraaz and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) and Waqt: The Race Against Time (2005). However, their on-screen chemistry soon started affecting the married actor’s personal life. The non-stop reports of their real-life romance made Akshay's wife Twinkle raise an objection to their pair. In fact, reportedly she issued a diktat to the actor to never with Quantico star again. Well, that was end of this beautiful reel couple in Bollywood. We now move on Akshay’s pairing with Deepika Padukone. The 50-year-old actor first worked with XXX: The Return of Xander Cage star in 2009 film Chandni Chowk to China. Though the film bombed at the box office, the pair returned to deliver a blockbuster film, a slapstick comedy Housefull in 2010. Akki and DP worked together in 2011 Desi Boyz, but were not paired opposite each other.

3. Ranbir Kapoor

The chocolate boy of Bollywood has done some of his career’s best films with these two lovely actresses. Beginning with Deepika, who also happened to be Ranbir Kapoor’s ex-girlfriend, the couple first worked in Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008). However, their best works came after the pair had split up in real life -- Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in 2013 and Tamasha in 2015. They all received critical appreciation as well as were profitable at the box office. Meanwhile, Ranbir’s maiden collaboration with Priyanka, 2010 film Anjaana Anjaani turned out to be one big disaster. The film not only received flak from critics but also generated tepid box office collection. However, PeeCee and Ranbir got together in 2012 film Barfi!, an Anurag Basu film that turned the tables around. The pair received critical appreciation in addition to shattering several box office records in terms of collection.

4. Ranveer Singh

Though Deepika is Ranveer Singh’s ladylove in real life, we will begin with discussing his camaraderie with Priyanka Chopra. The pair has done three films and three distinct relationships. First up was Gunday in 2014, where the duo portrayed roles of passionate lovers. In 2015, Ranveer and Priyanka did two films – as siblings in Dil Dhadakne Do and dutiful husband and wife in Bajirao Mastani. Thanks to their versatility as an actor and compatibility they share, they make any role so convincing. Coming to Deepika, Ranveer has again done three movies including a yet-to-be-released Padmavati. They have done intense romantic movies Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013 and Bajirao Mastani in 2015.

5. Sidharth Malhotra

Don’t scratch your head thinking about the movies featuring Sidharth Malhotra with either Priyanka and Deepika. Yes, the Student of the Year actor is yet to do a feature film with the two actresses, but he has worked with them in TV commercials. Sid paired up with Priyanka for a special Valentine’s Day advertisement of a jewellery brand. Meanwhile, he acted with Deepika in a TVC of a phone brand. Lucky fella!

6. Shahid Kapoor

The sexiest Asian man and woman of 2017 aka Shahid and Priyanka have done two movies together in their career. The former lovebirds did a cinematic gem, Kaminey in 2009 directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. They later did Teri Meri Kahaani, a romantic-drama in 2012, which failed to impress both critics and audiences. As for Deepika and Shahid pairing, cinephiles will have to wait for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati to release.

7. Abhishek Bachchan 

Audiences loved the pairing of Priyanka and Junior B. In fact, they were good friends in real life so much so that Abhishek gave Priyanka a nickname, Piggy Chops. They did three films, Dostana, Drona, Bluffmaster! early on in their careers. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan worked with Deepika in not-so-memorable period drama, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey in 2010. He was later a part of SRK-Deepika starrer Happy New Year in 2014.

8. John Abraham 

Priyanka has done around four movies with handsome hunk including a cameo. They were Karam (2005), Dostana (2008), 7 Khoon Maaf (2011) and Taxi No. 9211 (2006). He has had a better show with Deepika-starrers in terms of box office collections. They did Desi Boyz in 2011 and Race 2 in 2013 with Deepika playing his love interest in former and his shrewd step-sister in the latter.

9. Neil Nitin Mukesh

It would be safe to say actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is not exactly among the most successful actors of Bollywood. However, the good-looking actor is one of the luckiest to work with both Priyanka and Deepika in his filmy journey. Neil played one of the husbands of Priyanka in Vishal Bhardwaj’s 7 Khoon Maaf. He had worked with Deepika in 2010 film Lafangey Parindey.

10. Amitabh Bachchan

The megastar of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan has worked with these incredibly talented actresses on several occasions. He played Priyanka’s father-in-law in Waqt: The Race Against Time and again worked with the former beauty queen in God Tussi Great Ho (the horrendous rip-off of Bruce Almighty). But it was his extraordinary work with Deepika in Shoojit Sircar’s Piku that brought them accolades from all quarters. Big B and Deepika had also worked in 2011 film Aarakshan, a socio-drama directed by Prakash Jha.

So, who all are remaining to work with both Priyanka and Deepika? The first name that crosses our mind is Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan. The 52-year-old is yet to work with either of the gorgeous ladies in his career. Next up in the list is Salman Khan. The Tiger Zinda Hai actor has worked with Priyanka, but he is yet to star with Deepika in a film.
