The sex-scandal within the K-pop industry is all over the news and it has forced another star to quit the industry. Jung Joon-young announced his retirement and even agreed to all the allegations that were against him. He has even issued a public apology and decided to quit the industry. Jung has admitted to the allegations of filming sex videos and sharing them with his acquaintances in a mobile group chat. Jung was shooting for a TV reality show and decided to cut short his schedule and returned back home. He released a statement about all his allegations. It read, "I admit to all my crimes. I filmed women without their consent and shared it in a chatroom, and while I was doing so I didn't feel a great sense of guilt. Throughout the rest of my life, I will repent on my immoral and illegal acts that constitute crimes." He further said that he would cooperate with the investigation and is ready to face whatever punishment is there for him. Filming a person’s body without consent can be punished with a prison term of five years or a fine of 30 million won.

This is not the first time, Jung is under speculation for sexual imagery case. In the year 2016, he was accused by his girlfriend when he filmed them having sex without her consent. He has been accused of filming at least 10 women in the same sexual nature without their consent. With two back to back shocks from the K-pop industry, the image of the industry, which was going global with its popularity is getting tarnished. The shares of the entertainment companies managing these stars are also dropping immensely.
