After delivering a hit earlier this year with Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, John Abraham returns with a movie that is aimed at the masses. Satyamev Jayate is a vigilante action thriller, that also stars Manoj Bajpayee and newcomer Aisha Sharma. The movie is directed by Milap Zaveri, who has been a very popular scenarist.

Our in-house critic Sreeju Sudhakaran is watching the film and here's what he has to say about the first half of the movie - "A hooded vigilante is brutally killing corrupt police officers by burning them down. The vigilante goes by the name Veer (John Abraham) and when he is not on killer mode, he is on a cleaning spree, saving little puppies and romancing Shikha (Aisha Sharma). The police, wanting to save their kin, sends their best man, Inspector Rathod to catch the killer but Veer is always one step ahead of them, bumping three officers in the process.

There is no pretence about this that Satyamev Jayate is aimed at the single screen audiences. From a one-dimensional war against corruption to rhyming philosophy-laced bombastic dialogues, Satyamev Jayate takes you back to the masala movies of the '90s. The movie moves at a decent pace though there are some absurd scenes in between that generate unintentional hilarity. But there comes a killer interval twist that will leave you shocked. Looking forward to see how Satyamev Jayate will capitalise on this twist in the second half."
