Notorious gangster Sampat Nehra was plotting Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's murder, for which he had come to Mumbai and did a recce of Salman Khan's house to gauge his movement, reports suggest. Nehra was tracking the 52-yer-old actor's movement in and around his balcony of his Bandra residence to kill the actor using a gun. It's a known fact that Salman greets his fans from the balcony. Sampat was calculating the distance to use a weaponry accordingly, so that he could use it to kill the actor.

Sampat was arrested on Wednesday by a special task force of Haryana Police. He was arrested in Hyderabad and has been brought to Gurugram on transit remand, reports Hindustan Times.“Preliminary questioning during the journey from Hyderabad has revealed that Salman Khan was on the gang’s hitlist and Nehra alone had been assigned to execute the operation. He went to Mumbai for two days and clicked photographs, took note of the actor’s movement around the balcony and house in Galaxy Apartment, possibly to gauge the distance and weaponry required,” said Satheesh Balan, deputy inspector general, Haryana STF, reports HT.

Sampat Nehra is 28 year old and has more than a dozen cases of murder, extortion and robbery charges against him. It is ironical that Nehra is the son of a retired assistant sub inspector of Chandigarh police. He fworked for Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. Bishnoi himself had issued a death threat to Salman Khan in January 2018, reports indicate. “Bishnoi is running the network from jail and has been in touch with Nehra and other aides through mobile phones,” It also reported that Nehra would be produced in the court for remand and further investigation.

Reports further revealed that Nehra was in Mumbai to do a detailed recce and he tracked Salman Khan's movement with precision. After spending three weeks in Mumbai, Nehra went to Hyderabad to keep a low profile where he was nabbed by the police. The man was apparently planning to come back to Mumbai to execute Salman's assassination!
