Jodhpur, May 7: Bollywood actor Salman Khan appeared before Rajasthan's Jodhpur court in connection with the 1998 blackbuck poaching case today. According to an ANI report, he has already left the Court. The next date of hearing is on July 17. Security was beefed up outside the court because of the hearing that took place today.

On April 5, this year, the actor was convicted and sentenced to five years imprisonment after being found guilty of killing two blackbucks in Jodhpur during the shooting of his 1998 movie 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'. After staying in jail for two days, Khan was granted bail on two sureties of Rs 25 lakhs each and a personal bond of Rs. 50 lakhs.

Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu were also accused in the case , ,but they were acquitted with a fine of Rs. 10,000 each since they were just spectators. Today he was accompanied by his sister Alvira, bodyguard Shera and some others, he said. The actor was also granted permission to travel to the US, Canada and Nepal last month.
