Saif Ali Khan admits that he helped Sara bag Simmba.

You already know how Sara Ali Khan's debut film, Kedarnath, was embroiled in controversies because of the differences between the director, Abhishek Kapoor and producer, Prernaa Arora. In fact, Prernaa even dragged Abhishek to the court for being unprofessional and not handling the film in an organised manner. The filmmaker even accused the producer of financial interference and lack of transparency. Ronnie Screwvala bought the rights of the film as a sole producer and compensated the other producers. Now since the film was stuck in controversies, Sara went on to signing another film with Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar. The actress signed Simmba opposite Ranveer Singh. Turns out Saif was worried sick about Sara's debut film and tried to pull some strings to help her out.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Saif said, "I've been keeping track of it and, of course, it bothered me because I wanted things to go smoothly with her. I'm very happy that she now has a good film with Karan Johar. I was quite involved with her getting on board with Karan but after that, I can afford again to take a backseat. I'm here if she needs me." That's damn sweet of Saif to try help his daughter out.
