Filmmaker Sriram Raghavan is at the top of his game at the moment. His latest release, Andhadhun, has turned out to be one of the most profitable films of 2018. We wish his earliest film Ek Haseena Thi had tasted the same success because that Saif Ali Khan starrer is an underrated gem. In fact, Sriram and Saif's second film together, Agent Vinod, also turned out to be a misfire. Maybe third time's the charm for the two? Because the artists are all set to reunite for a third project if latest reports are to be believed. They are in talks for not one but two movies at the same time. Real Battle is How Much to Spoon-feed Audience, Says 'Andhadhun' Director Sriram Raghavan.

As per a report by a leading daily, Sriram Raghavan has narrated two ideas to Saif Ali Khan and he liked both of them. A source close to the project said, “Sriram is planning two scripts — one is the biopic on Param Vir Chakra awardee Arun Khetarpal, titled Ekkis, while the other is a thriller. He and Saif had been discussing doing a film together for some time. Recently, when they met, the filmmaker bounced off the ideas to the actor. The latter liked both the stories and they have decided to collaborate on one of the projects.”

Indian Army soldier Arun Khetarpal was a martyr of Indo-Pak War in 1971. He had blown off seven enemy tanks before his last breath preventing Pakistani army from getting an upper hand in the battle. But Saif won't be playing the role of Arun, if this project materialises.

Ekkis will mostly have a young actor playing the central role, but there’s also another prominent role in the biopic, which is perfect for Saif. "If not this, the actor-director pair will definitely work on the thriller next. They are currently deciding which one to do first. The film is expected to go on floors in 2019,” the source added. We are eagerly looking forward to an official announcement because this sounds a like a lethal combo.

Other than that Saif has already had a successful outing in 2018 in the form of Netflix's first Indian original series, Sacred Games. He has also shot for his next film Hunter, in which we will see him in the role of a naga sadhu, as per reports. The actor has also started shooting for the second season of Sacred Games. All in all, Saif Ali Khan is the future.
