The expectations from this one were tremendous. Director Tigmanshu Dhulia who has given us the gem of a film in the form of the first installement of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, extended his success with the second edition. But with his third outing Saheb, Biwi and Gangster 3, Dhulia is finding it difficult to taste the same taste of the commercial win at the ticket windows. This in spite of the first two new addition in the project in the form of Sanjay Dutt and Chitrangda Singh.
With the first day collection of the film expected anywhere close Rs 3 crore max, by the trade pundits, SBAG 3 does not look like a big success. The reaction to the film are mixed with audiences, quite surprisingly not eager to watch this dark and intense drama.
The part of the reason is also because people want are more keen to watch a spectacle. " I think I need to reconsider the taste of the audience these days. Most of the cine-goers go to theaters to have a gala time, enjoy their bucket of popcorn and have have a fantastic outing. The idea is to enjoy a story in the dark space with undivided attention, " said director Tigmanshu Dhulia in his exclusive interaction with LatestLY
Mission accomplished... Hollywood scores yet again... #MissionImpossibleFallout opens BIGGER and BETTER than Hindi releases... Also makes a dent in the biz of holdover titles... #MI6 #MissionImpossible— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) July 27, 2018
Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible: Impossible-Fallout is also the reason why this movie has not tasted as much success as anticipated. " Saheb, Biwi and Gangster should not get affected by a Hollywood giant of a film as this movie is very niche and is crafted for a select audience. But it's not appealing as much to the fans of this series, which is shocking. Do makers need to look what exactly went wrong?," informed the a source from the team on the condition of anonymity. Trade expert Taran Adarsh rolls out his analysis in terms of the numbers.
#Dhadak [Week 2] got affected by #MI6 wave, yet recorded fairly good numbers... Expected to grow over the weekend... Fri 2.61 cr. Total: ₹ 54.17 cr. India biz.— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) July 28, 2018
One also notices that Tom Cruise's movie has slowed down the pace of Dhadak which was doing reasonably well at the Box Office. Mission impossible is only growing stronger at BO thanks to the adrenaline rush and the intense action sequences it promises!
