Rohit Shetty has done something for his crew that no Bollywood filmmaker might have done so far. The director was filming Ranveer Singh’s last shot in Goa and his entire team was with him there. Apparently, Rohit did not want his team to miss out Diwali celebrations with their family members and so the filmmaker did the sweetest thing for his gang. Rohit has booked an entire aircraft that will shuttle his Simmba team from Goa to Mumbai today on November 7. And because parts of the film’s shoot is still pending, the director will be flowing them back from Mumbai to Goa on November 8. Now if this is not a thoughtful magnanimous gesture, then what is really?
Rohit is known to be extremely protective of his crew. In fact, no matter how big a superstar he’s directing, the filmmaker ensures the comfort of his core team members. Actors often feel that the director is more caring about his crew than the stars. And it’s no surprise then that the director continues to be a favourite amongst all his teammates. Simmba crew is expected to wrap the shoot in two days, by November 10. This will be the first time that Rohit and Ranveer are collaborating for a movie. While Simmba does have Ajay Devgn’s Singham vibes, with Ranveer on board we bet that the duo will spin magic and something new together. Rohit and Ranveer are both going gaga about each other on social media. We have often seen Ranveer sport T-shirt that proclaims his love for the filmmaker.
Rohit had in fact made Ranveer’s birthday very special on Simmba sets. And his latest Instagram post will leave anybody with a warm fussy feeling. The Golmaal director wished his younger brother Ranveer and Deepika all the very best for their wedding and declared that he has found a younger brother in the Padmaavat actor. Ranveer and Rohit had earlier collaborated for an advertisement. There was also buzz about the director planning Ram Lakhan remake with Ranveer. However, Rohit admitted that it’s tough to get competing heroes to share screen space these days and rubbished reports of working on the film.

Reports also revealed that Shetty had approached Abhishek Bachchan to play the villain in Simmba, however Bachchan Jr who’s a close friend of Rohit turned him down. Abhishek we hear felt that the audience wasn’t prepared to see him as a negative hero and cited that the earlier movies where he played a grey character failed to perform at the box office. Buzz was that Rohit was miffed with Abhishek and roped in Sonu Sood for the part. View Pics: Ranveer Singh’s Pre-Wedding Shenanigans Begin! Actor Is Dancing With Joy at His Haldi Ceremony
Simmba will also see Sara Ali Khan for the first time opposite Ranveer Singh. The film is slated to release on December 28 this year.
