Rajkummar Rao has proved his mettle by giving brilliant performances in films like Trapped (2016), Shahid (2012), Newton (2017) among others. The actor made his Bollywood debut in 2010 with Love, Sex Aur Dhokha. It's been nine years and there is no denying it that he has come a long way. Today, he is one of the most sought-after actors in the industry. The actor was all set to be a part of Dostana 2, the sequel to Dharma Productions' Dostana (2008), that starred Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Bobby Deol (in a cameo). However, things clearly didn't work out as last week it was announced that the second part will star Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor and a newcomer.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Rajkummar accepted that he was offered Dostana 2 as he said, "About Dostana 2, I met Karan [Johar]. It was also being said that Rajkummar will play Ayushmann Khurrana's love interest in the upcoming film, Shubh Mangal Zyaada Savdhan. However, he denied all the reports and said that he is not a part of that film too. While it would have been interesting to see in the film, unfortunately that is not happening.

Rajkummar will next be seen in Judgemental Hai Kya. The actor is re-unting with Kangana Ranaut after their super successful film, Queen (2013). The film, which was earlier titled as Mental Hai Kya is produced by Ekta Kapoor and is scheduled to release on July 26, 2019.
