Rahul Bose Banana Tweet: Probe Ordered Against Hotel JW Marriott Over Exorbitant Price

An investigation has been launched against 5-star Hotel JW Marriott which charged Rs 442.50 for two bananas ordered by Bollywood actor Rahul Bose. The deputy commissioner assured that strict against will be taken against the Hotel JW Marriott if they are found guilty.

Chandigarh, July 25: An investigation has been launched against 5-star Hotel JW Marriott which charged Rs 442.50 for two bananas ordered by Bollywood actor Rahul Bose. Chandigarh Deputy Commissioner and Excise and Taxation Commissioner Mandip Singh Brar has ordered a probe into an "illegal and exorbitant charge of GST" by Hotel JW Marriott on two fresh bananas.

Rahul Bose, in a video message on twitter, expressed shock over the price of two bananas which he had ordered after his workout session. "Taking cognisance of the video and bill posted by the actor, I have ordered an investigation.
