Jacqueline Fernandez injured her eye while playing squash while shooting for Race 3, during Abu Dhabi schedule. Soon she resumed shooting, but back then Jacqueline did not think that the injury will cause permanent damage. While everybody was awaiting the confirmation about Fernandez's injury producer Ramesh Taurani confirmed the news to IANS and was quoted saying as "Yes, it was a minor injury. Jacqueline is hurt above the eye while playing squash. She is better now and has resumed shooting."

And now Jacqueline took it to her Instagram and shared a photo of her eye with a caption So it’s a permanent injury and my iris will never be a perfect round again but so so grateful I can see!! #race3 memories #abudhabi

Soon after Jacueline posted that picture, reactions started pouring in. While some were shocked to find out about Fernadez's eye injury, some expressed concern over the same and went their wishes for a speedy recovery too.  "Ohh God, take care of yourself first. Work comes next", wrote one fan.

Another fan wrote, "Take care of yourself noting is impossible it will b perfect soon with the grace of almighty allah" while another showed his concern "What actually happened @jacquelinef143 ???? The accident seems to be very strong which changed the shape of the iris???"
