They can be called a good rival to the TV network and have significantly decreased the negative stigma around the web-based media. Every episode has an interesting cliff-hanger that compels everyone to watch the next. It is brilliantly packaged with talented cast, tight script and engaging characters with accurate thrill.

Bose Dead/Alive is an Indian historical period drama web series which is based on the life of the freedom fighter, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The show hit the web space last year on ALTBalaji with Bollywood’s reigning actor Rajkummar Rao. Playing a role of such a legend is not a piece of cake. But Rajkummar did not disappoint his fans and the show very well unfolded the truth that lies behind the mysterious death of Netaji. In fact, it also threw lights on the various aspects of his life.

A soul-searching road trip with his friend’s 55-year-old relative, the tale of Rise is the most unlikely pillion ever. Stupid Man Smart Phone

Stupid Man Smart Phone is India’s first digital survival series which has been telecasted on voot. The show features Evelyn Sharma and Sumeet Vyas in the lead role. It is based on British reality series of the same name. The episodes capture the journey of the duo struggles to survive in a remote area with the help of their smart phones only. For India’s digital medium, hosting a series built on International format is a big boost.

Apart from them, web lovers are all geared up with an upcoming Netflix India’s thriller, Sacred Games. The new show is set with Bollywood’s most promising stars—Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte. The makers have released the first stills that show a turbaned police officer Saif, with blood spattered across his face. However, the release date has not been released yet.

With great makers in India and their impeccable content, you cannot stop obsessing about the web series. The stories are no more about saas-bahu drama, but something that makes a difference. What started with Permanent Roommates and Bang Baja Baraat, now offers a whole crowd of web series to pick from.
