The deadly terror attack that happened in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir has left the nation in the state of shock. The attack carried out by a Pakistan based terrorist outfit killed over 40 CRPF jawans, leaving several others injured. The entire nation is condemning it and Bollywood too is taking steps to condemn it in their ways. The latest reports are that Bhushan Kumar's T-series has taken down the songs of Pakistani artists from their YouTube channel. The channel had recently released songs by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam but these and other tracks have been pulled down. The decision was taken after political party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) asked the music makers to take down these songs sung by the singers from the neighbouring country. Amey Khopkar, head of the MNS Chitrapat Sena told PTI, "We have verbally communicated to Indian music companies like T-Series, Sony Music, Venus, Tips Music etc to not work with Pakistani singers. These companies should stop it immediately or we will take action in our own style."

Earlier, actress, Shabana Azmi and lyricist-scriptwriter, Javed Akhtar turned down an invitation to attend an event on poet Kaifi Azmi in Pakistan. The Amar Akbar Anthony actress tweeted, "#Pulwama attack There is no way we can carry on with cultural exchanges between India and Pakistan even as our martyrs are laying down their lives for us. Meanwhile, B-town will observe Black Day today as there is a special prayer session held for the martyrs. There will be no work done in the time slot of 2pm an 4pm on Sunday in the industry.
