Priyanka Chopra has become a global face. After showing her mettle in Bollywood, the desi girl flew off to Hollywood only to inspire people in the west too. The actress has also been doing a lot of work regarding women empowerment and gender equality. Her work has goodwill ambassador of UNICEF has got positive response. Recently, Ms Chopra returned to India from Ireland to attend a book launch and UNICEF event. Here, she addressed the issue again and her statements are motivating and hard hitting.

The Quantico actress was quoted saying, “Gender equality and women empowerment are global issues. Every country has its cultural problems. But women’s health and women’s rights are global problems. I live in America and in India as well. And because women are going through problems across the globe, we have Me Too campaign and women coming out. Women being vocal is still new to the world."

“It's not like the world is going to change in 10 years. Hopefully, I will see it in my lifetime. But if not, (it should change) for the next generation. That's what I am hoping. I love the tenacity... of seeing women supporting each other, of women turning around and telling that 'it's wrong, “she added.

On the work front, PeeCee is geared up for Quantico season 3. She will also be back in Bollywood after she wraps up her Hollywood projects. If media reports are to be believed, she might be roped in Salman Khan starrer Bharat. She is also been taken into consideration for Kalpana Chawla biopic.
