With enormous stardom, comes huge resposnsibility. Priyanka Chopra who is shining in the west, was reminded of this fact by the The Income-tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) department back home. B-town's desi girl reportedly did not pay proper taxes on the 'gifts' that she claimed to receive from various companies. PeeCee received a 40 Lakhs Rupees worth Luxury watch from LVMH-Tag and also Rs 27 lakh worth Toyota's luxury Sedan car. In a raid conducted on her office and residence, these items were found as 'taxable' goods and ITAT advised her to pay the proper tax amount for these two.

The Quantico star appealed to Commissioner of Appeals arguing that these items were given to her out of 'love' and 'respect', hence cannot be considered as taxable items. However, the officer rejected the plea saying, "A company, is an artificial person and therefore does not have any emotional feeling of love and affection which is the cardinal factors for treating any transaction as gift, " as quoted by TOI.  Not only these items but a necklace worth Rs 17.60 lakhs gifted by Red Chillies Entertainment is also being re- assessed after her plea.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is busy in her Hollywood projects. She is currently shooting for 'Quantico Season 3' and also promoting her second Hollywood film 'A Kid Like Jake'. The actress made a stunning appearance at the Sundance Film Festival 2018 with the cast of her flick. Now, that the star is engrossed in these ambitious projects, we wonder how she will react to this legal soup.
