Priyanka in a legal mess?
Priyanka Chopra has been in the news because of her dating tales with alleged boyfriend Nick Jonas lately. She has been on the travel spree with the singing sensation, giving almost a stamp of approval on the rumors of her relationship. Now, she is again in the news as Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) slapped a legal notice on the Quantico actress for illegal construction in the commercial premises in Mumbai. The notice is against the illegal construction in the premises of her office in Oshiwara, Andheri West and also an adjacent premise that the star let out on rent.
It all started when the BMC received five complaints against the Charisma Beauty Spa and Salon which has an additional illegal mezzanine floor. When BMC set out to seek the truth, they found the complaints to be legit. Owing to this, the authorities asked PC to restore the contruction according the 2013 BMC plan or else face the legal brunt. The government body warned to demolish the structure themselves.
As told to TOI, a senior BMC official informed that Priyanka was told to restore the construction to the original one and pay the penalty accordingly. However, they reportedly did not pay heed to the warning. Post this, a notice was sent to them under the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning Act (MRTP). Priyanka's mother and producer Madhu Chopra's spokesperson stated, "We have received the notice from the BMC. We are coordinating with the officials and have already taken the required appropriate measures." On the work front, Priyanka will be next seen in Salman Khan starrer Bharat.
