Priyanka Chopra will become the first Indian to host the Met Gala in 2019. The international actress has been roped in alongside her husband, Nick Jonas, to be one of the hosts at the upcoming Met Gala 2019. Interestingly, Nick and Priyanka's love story had started at this very event, back in 2017. The two had walked the red carpet together for Ralph Lauren. The two got acquainted back then and eventually, romance blossomed. We are eagerly looking forward to seeing them walk the red carpet together once again. Met Gala 2019, the biggest fashion event of the year held for charity, will take place on May 6 this time. This year's theme for the event is Camp: Notes On Fashion. Priyanka said, "I have so many special memories attached to the Met Gala... It’s an honour to be a part of the Benefit Committee for this year’s Gala, alongside Nick. It’ll be a fun night and I’m really looking forward to it,”

Priyanka is truly breaking barriers.  Earlier, she was the part of 10th Annual Women In The World Summit, alongside Stacey Abrams, Oprah Winfrey,  Brie Larson and Anna Wintour.

On the work front, Priyanka has made a very cool announcement. She will be starring in a comedy film with Mindy Kaling, who might also direct it. The story will revolve around a big fat Indian wedding, with a Crazy Rich Asians vibe to it. The film has landed a deal with Universal.

Priyanka will also be seen in the Bollywood film, The Sky is Pink, with Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. She is also developing a film on Maa Anand Sheela, Osho's staunch devotee.
