Fans are mad at ABC’s show Quantico for highlighting India in a bad light in a recent episode and on its lead face, Priyanka Chopra for letting that to happen. They continued to slam her on Twitter to prompt their displeasure of something which the actress ideally is not at fault. Some asked Chopra to break her silence and demanded apologise. “Retweet if you consider @ABCNetwork's apology useless unless @PriyankaChopra personally apologises for Quantico's shameful Hindu terror plot. Let's show the world, the power of a silent, peaceful protest for justice,” wrote one of the Twitter users. Seeing such dismay among the followers, PeeCee wrote an apologetic tweet on June 10 to all those whose sentiments were unintentionally hurt by the latest episode of a Hindu terror plot in Quantico.
“I’m extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of Quantico. That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologise. I'm a proud Indian and that will never change,” tweeted the 35-year-old actress.

The reason for the outrage was against an episode which was aired on June 1, showed Indian nationalists; plotting to carry out a nuclear attack in Manhattan and later frame Pakistan for it. Priyanka Chopra’s character, Alex Parish, who is an FBI agent ruins the plot. “What the hell was this episode of #Quantico... they tried to show ‘Indian nationalists’ (their term) trying to blow up Manhattan to frame Pakistan…I don’t even know what sort of ridiculous narrative was this episode trying to set…nonsensical stuff,” one user commented.
ABC issued an official apology and clarified that Priyanka Chopra has no involvement and that she did not create, write or direct the show. Meanwhile ANI reported that a Hindutva group in Delhi protested against the Quantico star on June 9 outside the parliament street police station and the agitators burned down the posters of Priyanka. Well as PeeCee broke her silence, we really hope that the audience would calm down and enjoy the remaining episodes of the American television series.
