In yet another case of a Bollywood star stumbling down to poverty, Salman Khan's co-star in 'Veergati is battling life and death in a Mumbai hospital. The glamorous movie industry in the country has a terrible other side nobody wants to get into. The former actress has been diagnosed with tuberculosis and lung-related sickness. She is currently even struggling to pay her medical expenses. Pooja was admitted to Mumbai's Shivdi hospital 15 days ago for treatment.

Talking about her ailment and lack of finances for treatment, she told Navbharat Times, "I learned 6 months ago that I had something as serious as TB. I tried to contact Salman Khan for help, but nothing has been done so far. If he looks at my video then maybe he will try to offer some help. I have been admitted to this hospital for the last 15 days. I have been doing casino management in Goa for the last several years. I have no money at all, I depend on others for even a cup of tea."

The report states that sources close to the actor said she has been abandoned by her in-laws and husband owing to her deteriorating health. Without receiving poper treatment on time, her condition has been worsening. While showbiz, fame, and money may adorn the good side of the attractive glitz, people dread the other side. Pooja has worked in films such as 'Hindustan' and 'Sindoor Saugand'.
