The girls, Suman and Sneha, who starred in Guneet Monga's Oscar winning film,  Period. End of Sentence are in the deep financial trouble. As per the reports, after the Rayka Zehtabchi directed documentary won big at the awards, these two sisters have been left jobless in their village. They were thrown out from there work place which is said to be sanitary pad-making factory in Kathikeda, Uttar Pradesh. The film gained popularity after the appreciation and accolades but the girls are right now finding it hard to make their ends meet. Suman told TOI, "My husband works as temporary guard at a local bank’s ATM facility and is unable to meet monthly expenses of the family. I was not paid for three months and when I asked for it, I was told that Rs 1 lakh were already given to me so I didn’t need a salary, eventually they asked me to quit."

For the uninitiated, the girls were gifted Rs 1 lakh each by UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and Rs 50,000 each from the state’s governor Ram Naik. However, as the NGO- Fly, the factory, claimed their rights over the gifted money and on denial, threw the actor-sisters out of the job. On the other hand, Project manager for Action India Hapur, Devender Kuma denied the reports, blaming the girls to neglect the job while 'enjoying the festivities of their win'.
