We'd advise the reads to proceed with caution in this article, as the video we are about to talk about is very disturbing. In a shocking video going viral on the internet, a nilgai could be seen being buried alive. The video has shaken the animal lovers and many are demanding justice and strict action against the wrongdoers. Joining the fight are Bollywood celebs Raveena Tandon and Onir. The two celebs were appalled by the contents of the video. As per reports, the video is from Bihar's Vaishali district. A nilgai was first shot and then buried alive as part of a culling drive. The locals had complained about the animals destroying their crops. But this heartless solution to the problem is not how anyone should approach it.

Raveena Tandon shared the video and wrote, on Twitter, "Heartless inhumane b.......... whoever behind this decision. hope karma gets back doublefold. (sic)" Similarly, filmmaker Onir criticised the video and also used it to drive attention towards deforestation of Aarey in Maharashtra.

Although, no arrests have been made so far, the police have filed a FIR against the driver of JCB machine used to bury the injured nilgai, as per a report by The Indian Express reported.

The video was shot in a village under the jurisdiction of the Bhagwanpur police station. The officer in charge of the station, Chandrabhushan Shukla, said, “A drive was being carried out in the district to kill nilgais, but they were to be buried after proper culling,”

“This animal was, however, buried alive. The farmers were facing crop loss due to an increasing population of nilgais in the district. Accordingly, a committee under the chairmanship of district magistrate had ordered the culling of nilgais by hiring a shooter," Shukla added, while talking to a newspaper.
