After a really long time, a movie announcement has got us this excited. Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar have started working towards bringing film adaptation of Hindu mythology, Ramayana, to us. While it is still too premature to talk about the developments of the project, we can't help but be happy about the tiniest bit of information we get out hands on. In the latest, reports suggest that Nayanthara has been roped in to play the lead role of Sita in the Ramayan trilogy. Can we get a cheer for this? Hip Hip...we are just going to assume you said, Hurray.
"Ramayana will be made with actors from Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and Punjabi film industries as the makers are targeting a pan-India as well as the global audience," a statement by the makers read. There was no mention of the cast but in no time we will have the full list. For now, we have to make peace with the speculation about Nayanthara.
What is interesting is that this won't be the first time Nayanthara will play the role of Sita. She has done that for the Telugu film, Sri Rama Rajyam. Before Aamir Khan’s Mahabharata, Kunal Kohli to Make ‘The Ramayana’
For now, the makers are working hard towards having the movie on floors by 2020. They are aiming for a 2021 release for the first part of the trilogy. Also, did we tell you that the movies will be in 3D? Can we get a time machine to watch this movie in the future? Stay tuned to Latestly for more updates on this front.
