Move Over Sanju aka Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir Kapoor Talks About His Own Drug Addiction!
Ranbir Kapoor also stresses that drugs are not the only thing he was addicted to!
While Rajkumar Hirani's film Sanju is making all the right noises, naysayers are talking about how the Sanjay Dutt or the blunders he committed in his life have been glorified in the film. The movie shows Sanjay Dutt taking to drugs and then extensively tracks the arc of his accession into drugs. It also shows that Sanjay Dutt first got hooked onto the substance (abuse) because he had issues with his dad and then when he lost his mother it only got worse.
But did you know that the Ranbir Kapoor who has played Sanju Baba in the movie too was addicted to drugs? According to the interview given by Ranbir to a popular daily, Ranbir narrated his experiments with drugs. It so happened that the actor got into drugs during his college days and he was with a bad company. Thank Ranbir's stars for he soon realised that such things wouldn’t take him far in life.
Ranbir also added that every man makes mistakes in his life. But if you think drugs are the worst things to have happened to him, the Ae Jawani Hai Deewani actor stated that he was addicted to nicotine later in life which is worse than drugs. But these are not the only addictions Ranbir was hooked onto. Apparently, Ranboo also developed a sweet tooth. Yes, he was fond of everything sweet and would indulge recklessly.
Thanks to the career in the films and the demands to stay on the top always, Ranbir decided to focus on his well being. We are glad the lad got off those nasty addictions only to shine on the big screen like only he can. On the work front, the man is looking forward to Brahmastra co-starring Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan.
